FULTON, MS – Sophomore Deontaye Ewing's potential game-tying three-pointer rattled out as time expired on the Itawamba Community College Indians 73-70 loss to the Mississippi Delta Community College Trojans on Thursday.

Ewing (Tupelo) finished with a team-high 16 points while freshman Johnthan McGee (Jackson) added 15 as the Indians fell to 8-9 and 1-5 in the MACJC North Division.

The Indians hit 19-of-26 from the charity stripe while the Trojans went to the line 16 times and connected on 13 attempts.

Four different Trojans scored in double figures with James Evans leading the way with 22 points.
