FULTON, Miss – Freshman linebacker Jaiyden Thompson (Shannon) has been selected Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Thompson collected 15 tackles (6 solo; 9 assists) with one sack for a loss of six yards while recovering two fumbles last week against the Northeast Mississippi Community College Tigers. He returned one of the fumbles 40 yards for a touchdown.
The Indians (0-3, 0-1 MACCC North) will be back in action against No. 12 Northwest Mississippi Community College (2-1, 0-0 MACCC North) Thursday at 7 p.m. at Eaton Field in Fulton.
