FULTON, Miss. – Sophomore defensive back Keshon Heard (Hamilton) has been named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Heard had a season-high 10 tackles (8 solo; 2 assists) and returned a fumble 92 yards for a touchdown in the No. 20 Indians' 61-16 win over Holmes Community College (6-3, 3-3 MACJC North) on Saturday. He finished the regular season with 27 tackles (21 solo; 6 assists) with four pass break-ups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries returned for a total of 120 yards and a touchdown.

The Indians (6-3, 5-1 MACJC North) earned a share of the North Division championship, but missed out on the playoffs due to the league's tiebreaker.
