FULTON, MS –  Itawamba Community College has officially released its 2017 football schedule, which includes five games inside the friendly confides of Eaton Field.

ICC opens the 2017 season on the road Thursday, Aug. 31 in Perkinston against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. The following week on Sept. 7, Hinds Community College will visit ICC in the Indians' opener.

In week three, the tribe will open Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) North Division play at home against Northwest Mississippi Community College on Sept. 14.

The Indians will travel to Scooba on Sept. 21 for a division showdown with the defending MACJC Champion East Mississippi Community College Lions before returning home on Sept. 28 for a non-division bout with Pearl River Community College.

On Oct. 5 the Indians will host rival Northeast Mississippi Community College in Fulton for the first time since 2014  and will then hit the road in week seven to take on Coahoma Community College in their final Thursday night game of the season.

The final two dates for the Indians are Saturday games as they will be Mississippi Delta Community College's Homecoming opponent on Oct. 21 and will return home for their own Homecoming on Oct. 28 to take on Holmes Community College.

In 2016, the Indians finished 5-4 and ranked 19th in the final National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) poll.

East Mississippi and Northwest are the only two ICC opponents to earn a preseason ranking as the Lions are ranked at No. 3 in the Streeter and Smith College Football Preview Magazine Top 25 Poll and the Rangers come in at No. 13.

ICC's football games will be broadcast on LetsGoICCTV.com/Red throughout the 2017 season.
