FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College's Cody Shelton has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his education and football career at Livingstone College.

The Ripley native finished his career for the No. 19 Indians with 33 tackles and one sack in 14 games.

Shelton, recorded eight tackles in the Indians hard fought game East Mississippi during his sophomore campaign.

The a 6'2, 245 pound linebacker will join the Blue Bear squad who is just two years removed for the best season in the school's history. The Blue Bears defense finished the 2016 season second in total defense and rush defense in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).

Shelton is the thirteenth Indian to sign to continue his career next season and is the third from Ripley as Dorian Gaston and Isaiah Howard signed with Lamar Univeristy earlier this month.

Livingstone College is a NCAA Division II school located in Salisbury, NC.
