Former Indian named Pac 12 Defensive Player of the Week

BERKLEY, CA – Former Itawamba Community College football standout Darius White was named College Sports Madness Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week.
The Grenada native, who spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons at ICC, picked up four tackles and was responsible for two of the five turnovers forced by his California Golden Bears in their 30-24 road win at Washington.
Along with his four tackles, the 6'0" 180 pound senior had a fumble recovery and an interception he returned 21 yards. In four games this season, White leads the team with two interceptions and has 18 total tackles, including one tackle for a loss of four yards.
White has helped his Golden Bears to a 4-0 record, but they will put their perfect record on the line Saturday as they host PAC-12 foe Washington State.
