Fulton - Kwadra Griggs (Greenwood) passed for 251 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 15 yards and another score to lead Itawamba Community College to a 21-20 win over the Jones County Junior College Bobcats.
ICC (1-1) had 372 yards of offense, 121 on the ground as the Indians picked up their first win of the season despite totaling 170 yards on 15 penalties.
The game was back-and-forth with both teams going into the break tied at 14. Jones County (0-2) took a 17-14 lead on a 30-yard field goal at the 9:51 mark of the third quarter.
Griggs answered by finding D'Andre Belton (Winnsboro, SC) for a 10-yard touchdown pass to give the Indians a 21-17 lead before the Bobcats made it a one-point contest with a 46-yard field goal with 10:44 left to play.
Belton finished with 2 catches for 11 yards.
The Bobcats had two final chances from the come-from-behind victory, but an interception by Levarious Varnado (Calhoun City) and a sack on Jones' final drive by Terrence Jones (Bruce) helped seal the victory for the Indians.
Jones had 5 tackles and 3 sacks on the night.
ICC marched 76 yards on its opening play of the game before scoring on a 1-yard run by Griggs. Kadarius Forside (West Point) scored on a 7-yard run in the second quarter before Jones County answered with 2:43 left in the first half after that saw the Indians flagged four times for 45 yards.
Forside rushed for 20 yards on 6 carries. Octavious Matthews (Stevenson, AL) led the Indians' ground attack with 86 yards on 16 carries and added 22 yards on a pair of receiptions while Dominic Walker (Orlando, FL) hauled in 5 catches for 107 yards.

Colton Bramlett (Pontotoc) and Daniel Johnson (Coldwater) led the Indians with 8 tackles each. Varnado added 7 tackles and two pass break ups to go along with his interception.
The Indians will turn their attention to division play when they travel to Goodman to face the Holmes Community College Bulldogs' triple-option attack.
Last week, the Bulldogs (1-1) defeated Pearl River Community College 34-14 after dropping their first game of the season 32-28 to Hinds Community College.
