FULTON, MS - ICC interim head football coach Sean Cannon announced offensive lineman Brandon Jones and quarterback Griff Loftis have signed to continue their football careers.

"We are extremely proud for Brandon and Griff," said Cannon. "These guys worked extremely hard and helped us be able to achieve some special things during their time here at ICC."

Jones (Memphis, TN) signed to play for Coach Chris Hatcher and the Murray State Racers while Loftis (Mooreville) will continue his career with the Faulkner Eagles.

Jones anchored an offensive line that helped the Indians rack up 4,850 yards of total offense (2,922 passing; 1,928 rushing) and finish the regular season as the No. 15 team in the nation with 429.3 yards per game. He was selected MACJC All-State first team as a freshman and sophomore.

"Brandon was the type of guy you wanted as an offensive lineman," said Cannon. "He was gritty and did whatever it took to not only help himself get better, but also help the team get better. Murray State is getting a guy that is going to come in wanting to earn a starting spot on the line and will push the rest of the guys to get better."

Loftis was selected to the MACJC All-Star game and All-State second team after passing for 2,256 yards and 15 touchdowns and rushing for 25 yards on 15 carries during his sophomore season. He passed for 1,716 yards and 13 touchdown as a freshman.

"Griff had a leadership value that you can't coach on any level," said Cannon. "He was a guy that you knew you were going to get everything he had every time he stepped on the field. He was a great leader for our program both on and off the field and I know he'll do the same at Faulkner."

The Indians have had 36 players sign to play on the next level from last year's team that finish 6-4 and advanced to the semifinals of the MACJC and NJCAA Region 23 playoffs.
