FULTON, MS – Former Itawamba Community College football player Ken Walton recently signed a contract to play for the Nashville Venom, a member of the Professional Indoor Football League.

Walton, a Lebanon High School (TN) graduate, originally signed with Cumberland before transferring to ICC in 2008.

In only one season as a defensive back and receiver for Coach Jeff Terrill and the Indians, Lofton had five receptions for 102 yards and one touchdown while returning two kicks for a touchdown and leading the team with two interceptions to go along with five tackles.

Walton was playing semipro football for the Nashville Storm when his coach, Cormwell Stewart, urged him to try out for the Venom. Out of 100-plus player, he was one of four player who signed with the team.

The Venom (4-2) currently lead the American Conference with six games remaining in the season.
