Indians take care of Olney Central

MILLINGTON, Tenn. – The Indians bounced back after being swept by Calhoun with an 8-1 win over Olney Central College at USA Stadium in Millington, Tennessee on Friday.

Bo Rock got things going with a single to score Jackson Lee in the top of the first inning. Ben Davis smashed a two-run home run to put the Indians up 3-0 in the third.

Rock ripped his second RBI single of the day to plate Lee in to make it a 4-0 game before Stone Collier drew a bases loaded walk in the fifth.

The Indians stretch the lead out to 8-0 on a double by Dre McCray that scored Davis and a two-run home run by Collier.

The Knights scored on a ground out in the bottom of the seventh to make it an 8-1 game before the Indians closed the door on the rally to pick up the win.

Lee had three hits, one for a double, while Davis and Rock each added a pair of hits.

Davis (2-0) picked up the win after scattering four hits and walking one while striking out nine in four scoreless innings of work.
