The Indians scored two run in the bottom of the sixth and seventh innings before adding an insurance run in the eighth to upset No. 2 ranked East Central, 9-6, Saturday.

The Indians dropped a pair of tough luck games to Gulf Coast on Sunday. The games were played at East Mississippi after being pushed back a day due to heavy rains earlier in the week.
The Indians bounced back to score a season-best 16 runs on 11 hits in game two to earn a split with the Holmes Bulldogs after dropping a one-run decision in extra innings in game one.
For the first time since 2006, the Indians were swept in their first home doubleheader of the season after dropping a pair of games to Calhoun on Wednesday.
Two sophomore baseball players have signed to continue their student-athlete careers: Ben Davis (Booneville) to Mississippi State University and Jaxin Settlemires (Kossuth) to the University of Memphis.
Registration is set for 10 a.m. at Roy Cresap Field on the ICC Fulton Campus. Participants will be responsible for a $50 registration fee and their own cleats, glove, catching gear, proper workout attire, a copy of an up-to-date physical and a signed waiver.
