Millington, Tenn. – JW Armistead (Mooreville) and Zach Seward (Eads, Tenn.) threw a combined no hitter as Itawamba Community College picked up a 4-0 win over Southeast Nebraska Saturday in the Babe Howard Classic.
Armistead struck out 15 of the 18 batters he faced in five innings. Seward closed out the game striking out two while only facing six batters.
The Indians (7-2) scored a run in the top of the first as Drew Capobianco (Saltillo) scored during a double play.
In the third, Matthew Martinolich (Ellisville) tripled and later scored as Will Verdung (Corinth), who later scored, reach on an error and Jackson Lee (Calhoun City) drove in a run with a single.
The Indians will host Northwest and Northeast for a tripleheader date Tuesday. ICC will face Northwest at Noon with Northwest and Northeast squaring off at 3 p.m. The Indians will close out the night against Northeast at 6 p.m.
