Domino’s big day leads No. 11 Indians to sweep of Coahoma

Fulton, Miss. – Sophomore outfielder Lane Domino (Fulton) blasted three home runs and had nine RBI in Tuesday's doubleheader to lead the No. 11 Indians to a pair of run-rule victories over Coahoma.

Game 1: Indians 17, Tigers 9 (8-inn)

Domino and Riley Davis (Collierville, Tenn.) combined for eight hits, six RBI and seven runs scored in the 17-9 game one win. Both had four hits each with Domino finishing a double shy of the cycle and Davis picking up a pair of doubles.

Terris Meeks (Olive Branch) and Bailey Allbritton (Duck Hill) added three RBI each and Kylan Carter (Houston) and Tyler Murphy (Columbus) knocked in two runs each as well.

Coahoma jumped out on the Indians scoring in the top of the first trailed by two runs or less for a lot of the contest before the Indians scored 10 runs from the fourth to the sixth innings.

Brady Davis (Hamilton) picked up the win to improve to 4-0 this season.

Game 2: Indians 13, Tigers 3 (6-inn)

Despite the large margin of victory, the Indians and Tigers battled for most of game two, but a nine-run sixth propelled the Tribe to the 13-3 win.

The Indians led 4-1 after three innings, but the Tigers cut the lead to 4-3 in the fifth before the big sixth inning.

Domino led the offensive charge for the Indians hitting a pair of three run home runs in the game and adding a run scoring double as he went 3-f0r-4 with seven RBI. Carter also hit a home run in the contest to cap off the five-home run day for the Tribe.

Next up for the Indians is another conference doubleheader Saturday when pearl River comes to Fulton. Game one of the twin bill is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will be available on LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
