No. 7 Indians sweep Lake Land

FULTON, Miss. – The Indians scored four or more runs in four of the 13 innings played against the Lake Land (Ill.) Lakers on Saturday.

Game 1: No. 7 Indians 10, Lake Land 0 (6 innings)

The Indians used back-to-back four-run innings to pick up a 10-0 win in 6 innings in the first game of the day.

Bailey Allbritton had three hits while Brett Coker, Riley Davis, Kylan Carter, and Lane Domino each had a pair of hits to help the Indians tally 15 hits in the win. Ben Fyryer had a three-run home run.

Will Armistead (2-1) gave up one hit and scattered three walks while striking out four in five innings of work to pick up the win.

Game 2: No. 7 Indians 13, Lake Land 6

Trailing 3-0 in the middle of the fourth inning, the Indians rattled off nine runs in the bottom of the inning before rolling to a 13-6 win to complete the sweep of the Lakers.

Fryer was three-for-four with three RBI and two runs scored. Carter, Coker, Tyler Murphy, and Payton Springfield each added a pair of hits in the win. ICC had 12 hits in the game including home runs from Coker and Murphy.

Malik Pogue picked up his first win as an Indians after relieving Drew Monaghan in the fourth inning. Pouge gave up two earned runs on one hit and three walks while striking out a batter in one and a third innings of work.
