Riley Davis named MACJC Baseball Player of the Week

Fulton, Miss. – Itawamba Community College's Riley Davis was named Baseball Player of the Week by the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Tuesday morning.

The freshman catcher from Collierville, Tenn. had an impressive opening day for the No. 5 Indians, who swept Southwest Tennessee 8-0 and 16-0, as he went 3-for-4 with six RBI, a double, a triple, a home run, two runs scored and drew three walks.

Davis' three extra base hits were all to dead center, including his three-run home run in game two. He is also the first Indian freshman to receive the conference honor since LaBryant Siddell in May 2018.

The Indians' next scheduled game is Feb. 19 at Snead State Community College (Ala.) after heavy rain has forced postponements to their schedule.
