PERKINSTON, Miss. – The No. 4 Indians needed a rally in the ninth in game one before sweeping the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs to close out the regular season.
No. 4 Indians 10, Gulf Coast 9
Trailing 9-7 with one out in the top of the ninth, Jacob Hall (Petal) ripped a double to tie the game before Austin Powell (Star City, Ark.) rushed home on a wild pitch to give the Indians 10-9 lead before the Bulldogs could get out the inning.
Kyle Crigger entered to in the bottom half of the inning and gave up a two-out single before getting a ground ball to the Brett Coker (Hendersonville, Tenn.) who flipped the ball to Braden Ellis (Saltillo) to secure the win for the Indians.
Justin Medlin (Ripley) snuck a solo home run out of the park in the first inning to give the Indians a 2-0 lead. He destroyed a three-run home run that was still climbing as it entered the tree line behind right field to give the Indians an 8-3 lead in the sixth.
Medlin, Powell, Lane Domino (Fulton), Jackson Lancaster (Corinth), and LaBryant Siddell (Tupelo) each had a pair of hits as ICC scored 10 runs on 13 hits and one Bulldog error.
Ellis picked up his first win and Crigger collected his fourth save of the season.

Siddell pushed across the first run of the game with a two-out double that scored Crigger in the top of the third inning.
The Indians extended their lead to 2-0 when Donari Herron (Southaven) starting the fifth inning off with a walk and advanced to second when Ellis reached on an error. Both advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Crigger and Herron scored on a sacrifice fly to center by Lancaster.
Coker drove in a pair of insurance runs with a two-out single that scored Lancaster and Siddell in the top of the seventh.
Gulf Coast got a solo home run to start the bottom half of the final frame before Austin King (Fulton) got a ground ball to second that started a game-ending double play to help him to improve to 6-1 on the season.
Siddell was 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and a RBI while Lancaster, Coker, and Domino each added a single in the Indians' five-hit performance.
