Indians fall to No. 20 East Central in game two

FULTON, Miss. – The Indians were unable to find an offensive groove in game two as No. 20 East Central rattled off 17 hits to pick up the 11-4 win and the sweep.

In the second inning, the Indians (25-11, 11-9) took a 2-0 lead on a double by Drake Wallace(Amory) and they held the lead until the fourth when East Central plated three runs.

In the fifth the Warriors added three more runs, but the Indians scored two runs in the bottom half a bases loaded walk by Justin Medlin (Ripley) and Kyle Crigger (Corinth) scoring when LaBryant Siddell(Belden) reached on an error.

The two run contest would quickly get out of reach as East Central scored five runs in the sixth on their way to the 11-4 victory.

For the final two weeks of the season, the Indians will be on the road and their first stop will be Moorhead on Tuesday to face Mississippi Delta.
