Indians explode for 12 runs to defeat Coahoma

FULTON, Miss. – Five Indians pick up multiple hits to power the tribe passed Coahoma 12-1 in five innings.

After falling behind in the first frame, the Indians (24-9, 10-7) scored 12 unanswered runs, 11 of which came in the bottom of the fourth.

The game was a tight battle early on and was knotted at 1-1 after the first two innings, but the Indians rattled off nine hits in the bottom of the fourth to score 11 runs.

In the 11 run frame, the Indians offensive explosion was highlighted by Justin Medlin(Ripley) as he doubled and tripled in the inning and Drake Wallace(Amory) hitting a 2-run home run. Wallace, who also singled in the inning, picked up 3 RBI as he went 2-for-3 in the game.

Medlin also went 2-for-3 and added an RBI. LaBryant Siddell(Belden), Kyle Crigger(Corinth) and Jackson Lancaster(Corinth) all added two hits in the five inning affair. 

Hunter Hughes (Saltillo) picked up his third win this season throwing four innings, striking out four and allowing one run on six hits.
