FULTON, Miss. – ICC freshman Houston Harding was named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) Pitcher of the Week in a league announcement Tuesday.
Harding earned the weekly conference honor with his complete game shutout of Meridian Community College Saturday.
The left hander from Walls, Miss., struck out a career high 14 while holding the No. 19 Eagles to six hits to help the No. 5 Indians (19-3, 5-1 MACJC) to a 5-0 win.
Harding improves to 5-0 this season and has a 2.78 ERA with 43 strikeouts in 35.2 innings of work.
The Indians are set to return to action Friday when they travel to Poplarville for a conference doubleheader with Pearl River Community College beginning a 2 p.m.
