Indians drop game one to Calhoun

FULTON, Miss. – A three run fourth sealed game one for Calhoun as they defeat the Indians 7-3.

The Indians (11-2) trailed early as Calhoun plated three run in the opening frame on five hits, but the tribe rallied to tie the contest in the third on four hits.

Kyle Crigger (Corinth) put the Indians on the board with RBI single and Justin Medlin (Ripley) drove in a run by reaching on a fielder's choice. A sacrifice fly by LaBryant Siddell (Belden) tied the game at three after three innings.

In the top of the fourth, Calhoun put together four hits and scored three runs to take a 6-3 lead and added an insurance run in the final frame to take a four run advantage.

The Indians were held to two hits in the final four innings allowing Calhoun to pick up the 7-3 victory in game one.

Siddell highlighted the Indians offense as he went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
