FULTON, Miss. – After falling behind 3-0 in the top of the first, the Indians scored eight unanswered runs to complete the sweep of Southwest Tennessee by taking game two of the doubleheader 8-3.

The Saluqis hitting jumped out to their early lead scoring three runs on three hits and a walk in the opening frame but the Indians (10-0) immediately began chipping away as Jacob Hall (Petal) hit a RBI single in the bottom half.

It wouldn't take long for the tribe to tie the game as they took advantage of an error that scored Kyle Weaver (Courtland) and put Trey DeSantis (Laurel) on third. DeSantis would then cross the plate on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Ray Sandroni (Tupelo) to tie the game at 3-3 after two innings.

After two scoreless frames, the Indians pushed four runs across the plate to take the lead in the fifth. A single by Hall broke the tie and later scored on a balk. Drake Wallace (Amory) added another insurance run with a RBI single and then he'd later score on a wild pitch to give the tribe a 7-3 lead.

Russell Bunch (Saltillo) and Kyle Crigger (Corinth) teamed up to score the Indians final run as Bunch hit a bloop to right that allowed Crigger, who led off the bottom of the sixth with a double, to score.

The 8-3 victory puts starting pitcher Houston Harding (Walls) at 3-0 this season as he threw five innings and struck out five.

Saturday, the tribe will travel to Boaz, Ala. For a doubleheader with Snead State. First pitch is set for noon.
