Indians sweep Snead State with 5-1 win in Game 2

FULTON, Miss. – The Indians completed the sweep of Snead State (Ala.) Community College with a 5-1 Game 2 victory on Friday.

The Indians (4-0) got things going in the bottom of the second inning when Drew Thomas (Nesbit) and Jackson Lancaster (Corinth) both singled and scored on a double by Connor Lewis (Corinth). Lewis advanced to third on the throw home and later scored to give ICC a 3-0 lead when Ray Sandroni (Tupelo) reached on an error before the Parsons could get out of the inning.

Kyle Crigger (Corinth) tackws on an insurance run with a single to score Lewis in the bottom of the fourth. Crigger went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI.

Austin King (Fulton) picked up the win in his collegiate debut. He allowed no runs on a pair of hits while striking out six and walking one in five innings of work.

The Indians racked up 12 hits in the win with Crigger, Sandroni and Lewis each having multiple hits in the win.
