FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College jumped out to an early 6-2 lead but saw Copiah-Lincoln Community College rally for seven unanswered runs to pick up the 9-6 game one win Saturday.

The Indians (27-12, 14-9 MACJC) fell behind 2-0 in the top of the first but bounced back to score four in the second and to in the third.

Cody Pate (Amory) lead the charge going 2-for-3 with four RBI and a double while Austin Carpenter (Belmont) added a run scoring double and Tyreque Reed (Houlka) pushed across a run on a single.

The Wolves then began to chip away at the Indians four run lead and they regained the lead in the top of the sixth before adding insurance runs in the seventh and eighth.

The Indians had their chance in the eighth as they loaded the bases, but they were unable to push across a run allowing the Wolves to pick up the 9-6 victory.
