FULTON, MS – In the first game of a triple header on a cold day at Roy Cresap Field Tuesday, Itawamba Community College's bats were red hot as they run-ruled Southest Tennessee 11-0 in five innings.
 
The Indians (12-3) rattled off 12 hits over four innings highlighted by Tyreque Reed (Houlka) and Drake Wallace (Amory) both going 3-for-3 and each with a pair of doubles. Reed drove in two runs while Wallace picked up one RBI.

Austin Carpenter (Belmont) and Bryan Malone (Belmont) both went 2-for-3 and Carpenter picked up three RBI and a triple while Malone drove in one.

Hagan Box (French Camp) rounded out the scoring for the Indians as he drove in two runs on a double.

On the hill, sophomores Jon Morgan Payne (Belmont) and Blake Appel (Gulfport) combined for a four hit shutout and 10 strikeouts.

Payne picked up the win with his four inning, seven strikeout performance.

The Indians will take on East Central Community College to wrap up the triple header beginning a 5 p.m.
