FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College jumped out to an early lead after plating six runs in the first inning on their way to a 10-5 game two victory over Blue Mountain College's JV squad Thursday.

The Indians (9-3) took advantage of what the Toppers gave them as they plated runs on a Russ Payne (Fulton) double, Hagan Box (French Camp) single and a bases loaded walk by Hunter Nabors (Montevallo, AL).

Payne went on to pick up three RBIs while Ben Seay (Mooreville) and Box earned multiple hits in the contest.

The Toppers trailed 6-0 after one inning, but fought to push across five runs on nine hits but the deficit was too big to overcome.  The Indians added four runs over the final four frames to pick up the 10-5 victory.

Reid Carter (Corinth) picked up the win from the hill for his first of the season.

The Indians will host Snead State Community College (AL) this weekend at Roy Cresap Field.
