FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College scored early and often on their way to a 12-0 run-rule victory over Blue Mountain College's JV squad Thursday.

The Indians (8-3) opened up game scoring four first inning runs and six in the second frame to take an early 10-0 lead.

Tyreque Reed (Houlka) drove in three runs with one big swing of the bat in the second and went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI in the contest.

Bryan Malone
(Belmont),  Austin Carpenter (Belmont), Russ Payne (Fulton) and Kaleb Barnes (Pontotoc) all picked up RBIs in the game and sophomore Ben Seay (Mooreville) knocked in two runs to help the Indians pick up the big win.

The hitting display put on by the Indians gave starting pitcher Jon Morgan Payne (Belmont) plenty of run support to work with and work with it he did.

Payne shut out the Toppers while throwing a two hitter and striking out seven to secure the big win and improve to 2-0 this season.
