BOAZ, AL – After gutting out a 2-1 game one win, the Itawamba Community College baseball squad saw a seven run lead disappear after Snead State Community College's bats came alive in the final frame to pick up a 12-10 victory on a walk off grand slam.

The Indians (7-3) jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in game two on an Austin Carpenter (Belmont) RBI double and a Keith Stepter (Hernando) RBI on a fielder's choice in the opening inning.

In the top of the third, the Indians extended their lead to 6-0 with Hunter Nabors (Montevallo, AL) two run scoring single, a RBI single by Russ Payne (Fulton) and a sacrifice fly by Trevor Smith (Oneonta, AL).

The Parsons scored three unanswered runs in their next two at bats, but the Indians followed with four of their own to extended their lead to 10-3 heading into the bottom of the seventh.

In the final frame, the Parsons strung together six hits, drew one walk and plated five runs to cut the Indians lead to 10-8. On their seventh hit of the inning, the Parsons' first baseman Ridge Watson hit a walk off grand slam to right to pick up the 12-10 game two victory.

The Indians will host Blue Mountain College's JV squad for on Thursday, March 9 for a doubleheader starting at 3 p.m.
