FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College standout Timothy Rowe (Hernando) will continue his baseball career at the University of Mississippi next season.

Rowe wrapped up his sophomore season leading the Indians in several offensive categories with his .418 batting average, 48 RBI, 46 runs, 16 doubles and 115 total bases. He also tied for the team-high with two triples.

In his 170 at bats, the 6-foot 217 pound left fielder had 71 hits, 26 of which were for extra bases, 13 walks, two hit by pitches and only grounded out once all season.

Rowe helped the Indians to a 27-20 record and earn a spot in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) playoffs and was named to the MACJC All-State and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 Teams.

During his two seasons in the ICC red and blue, Rowe hit .358 and played in 79 games.

Rowe will join the Rebels squad, who finished the 2016 season 43-19 overall and 18-12 in conference play.
