FULTON, MS – ICC head baseball coach Rick Collier announced five players have been named to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State Second Team.

Blake Bennett (Memphis, TN), Steffon Moore (West Point), Tyreque Reed (Houlka), Drake Rowton (Marion, AR) and Ty Wheeler (Tupelo) were all tabbed for second team honors.  

Bennett, a Memphis signee, finished 8-3 on the season with a 5.72 ERA. The freshman right-handed pitcher struck out 45 and walked 26 in 67.2 innings pitched in his only season with the Indians.

Moore went 2-1 on the season with a team-best 1.82 ERA. The freshman left-handed pitcher struck out 43 and walked 24 in 39.2 innings of work. He earned MACJC Pitcher of the Week honors twice during the season.

Reed batted .316 with 42 hits, 11 doubles, a team-high 10 home runs and two triples to drive in 43 runs while scoring 37 more in 133 at-bats. The freshman right-fielder had a .969 fielding percentage with only one error in 32 chances. He earned MACJC Player of the Week honors during this season.

Rowton batted .329 with 56 hits with 10 doubles, two triples and three home runs to drive in 29 runs while scoring 40 runs in 170 at-bats. The sophomore stole five bases on the season and had a .971 fielding percentage with only five errors in 175 chances at second base.

Wheeler hit for .344 with nine doubles, four home runs, 25 RBI and 38 runs scored in 160 at-bats. The sophomore first baseman finished the season with a team-best .986 fielding percentage committing only four errors in 296 chances.
