The Indians (21-15, 9-11 MACJC) jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in game two as Timothy Rowe (Hernando), Hagan Box (French Camp) and Reed picked up RBIs. However, the Bears answered with a run in the second and three runs in the fourth to hold a 4-3 lead.

In almost a mirror image of the first inning, Rowe hit a RBI single that scored Delvin Zinn (Pontotoc) to tie the game at four.

Both starting pitchers exited after five innings, and Kaleb Barnes (Pontotoc) took care of the Bears in his two innings of work, putting pressure on Bears reliever Dylan Spiers, who entered the game in the top of the fifth.

Spiers allowed only one hit over his first two innings of work, and recorded a quick out in the bottom of the seventh, but Reed stepped in smashed a home run to left to give the Indians the 5-4 walk off win.

The Indians are on a five game winning streak as they continue to push their way into playoff contention as they sit in ninth place in the MACJC with eight games remaining in the regular season.

Tuesday, the Indians will carry their winning streak on the road to take on East Mississippi Community College (19-13, 7-11 MACJC) for a conference doubleheader in Scooba. First pitch of the twin bill is set for 4:00 pm with game two to follow at 7 :00 pm.
