Reed's three RBI gives Baseball game one win over Calhoun

FULTON, MS –Tyreque Reed's big day at pushes Itawamba Community College to a 7-3 game one win over Calhoun Community College on Wednesday.
The 6'1 freshman from Houlka went 2-4 with three runs batted in and picked up two extra base hits against the Warhawks. Reed's first hit of the day was a triple and he followed in his next at bat with a double in the third inning.
Sophomore first baseman Ty Wheeler (Tupelo) was a big part of the offense going 3-4 with three runs scored and Drake Rowton (Marion, AR) also had a 2-4 performance with two runs scored.
The trio led the offense for the Indians (10-1) while Nick Burns (Mantachie) took care of the Warhawks allowing only two hits in six shutout innings.
The Warkhaws (13-9) drove in three runs in the seventh, but the Indians held on to pick up the 7-3 victory.
