FULTON, MS – The ICC baseball team has added another arm to its rotation for next season.

Blake Bennett, a 6-foot-3 right-handed pitcher from Memphis University School, is transferring to ICC after a red shirt season with Coach Mike Bianco and the Ole Miss Rebels.

The Germantown, TN native was named to the All-Region and All-Metro teams as a senior and earned a spot in the State Farm Public vs Private All-Star game after going 7-3 in 13 appearances while logging a 2.85 ERA and 54 strikeouts with 15 walks in 53.2 innings of work.

He played every position in the infield, minus catcher, and helped lead the Owls to three state runner-up finishes and was a member of the Rebels' recruiting class that earned No. 15 national ranking by Collegiate Baseball.

Bennett's athletic prowess wasn't limited to the diamond.

He lettered twice in football and was a second team All-Region selection at quarterback after passing for 1,348 yards and 14 touchdowns while leading the Owls to their second state runner-up finish as a senior.
