BOONEVILLE, MS – The Itawamba Community College Indians picked up their first MACJC Division win on Tuesday with a dominating 18-3 run-rule victory over Northeast Mississippi Community College.

The Indians scored early and often with five runs in the third and six in both the fifth and seventh, cutting the nine inning affair down to seven.

Freshman Seth Young (Olive Branch) was the biggest thorn in the Tiger's paw with his four hit performance highlighted by two singles that plated four runs.

In the five run third, the Indians batted around belting five hits highlighted by two run scoring singles by Rowe and Young and a RBI double by Tanner Poole (Amory).

Timothy Rowe (Hernando), who finished 2-3 with 3 RBIs, picked up his second home run and seventeenth RBI of the season with a lead off solo shot in the fifth. The Indians piled on five additional runs in the fifth capped off by a Russ Johnson (Hatley), who went 3-4 with 3 RBI, double that plated two runs.

In the top of the seventh, the Indians scored six runs on an error, a double by Hayden Williams (Amory) and singles by Young and Johnson to easily handle the Tigers and earn the game one win.

TJ Watson (Dallas, GA) had plenty of run support and handled the Tiger's lineup by striking out eight while allowing only five hits. Watson improves to 3-3 on the year.
