DECATUR, MS – The Itawamba Community College Indians rally for two runs in the final inning to pick up a 6-5 win over the Southeastern Community College (IA) Hawks on Friday.

Seth Young (Olive Branch) went four for four in the contest, and his fourth and final hit proved the be the difference as he drove in the go ahead and game winning run in the top of the seventh.

The Indians trailed 5-2 after three innings, but began to chip away when Dalton Hudspeth (Louisville) ripped a triple down the first base line to score Young, who started the inning with a one out single.

With the lead cut down to 5-3, Timothy Rowe (Hernando), who finished two for four with three RBIs, plated the next two Indian runs on singles in the fifth and seventh innings. Rowe's single in the final frame tied the game at 5 and great base running put him 90-feet from giving the Indians the lead. Young then stepped in and hit a bloop single that allowed Rowe to score easily from third and put the Indians on top.

The Hawks plated five runs in the first three innings, but the pitching combination of Trenton Stringer (Stringer) and Jonas White (Lewisburg) held them scoreless the remainder of the game to secure the Indians victory. White improves to 2-0 on the hill and the Indians are 6-2.

The Indians will host Rend Lake (IL) on Sunday for their final doubleheader prior to MACJC Division play begins. First pitch for game one is scheduled for noon.
