FULTON, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College Indians didn't have to worry about going to the bullpen in game one against the Ellsworth Community College Panthers on Saturday as T.J. Watson (Dallas, GA) went the distance to preserve the 6-2 win.

The sophomore right hander earned his second win of the season with a dominate six-strikeout and four hit performance. The Indians gave Watson run support early as RBIs by Cody Young (Collierville, TN) and Tanner Poole (Amory) put the Indians in front 3-0 after two innings.

The Panthers picked one run in both the fourth and fifth to cut deficit to one, but the Indians pile on three-runs in the sixth inning. Young led off the bottom of the sixth for the Indians with a single to left, followed by Drake Rowton (Marion, AR) drawing a walk. Back-to-back squeeze plays by Russ Johnson (Hatley) and Seth Young (Olive Branch) plated two runs and Johnson, who reached on an error, would later score when Bryce Williams (Ridgeland) reached on a throwing error to secure the four-run victory for the Indians.

Three of Watson' six strikeouts came in the fourth inning when he struck out the side with two runners in scoring position and no outs. Gable Butler (Iuka) and Johnson accounted for four of the Indians six runs.
