FULTON, MS – Sophomore right-handed pitcher Ben Aldridge signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball at the University of Arkansas Monticello next season.

"It's a great feeling," Aldridge said about signing with the Boll Weevils. "Everybody wants to come in and earn the opportunity to keep playing and I'm happy to have the opportunity to keeping playing."

Aldridge (Tupelo) went 4-6 with 2 saves along with a 5.37 ERA and a 9.60 fielding percentage in his final season with the Indians. He was second on the team with 50 strikeouts in 55.1 innings pitched.

"I made some great friends and it's just been a lot of fun," Aldridge commented about his two years at ICC. "The coaches helped me get better and grow to become a better player."

As a freshman, Aldridge went 5-1 with 1 save in 32 innings of work to go along with 26 strikeouts, 5.06 ERA and .963 fielding percentage.

The Boll Weevils are a member of the Great American Conference and finished 36-17 after advancing to the NCAA Division II Central Region Championship Tournament last season.
