FULTON, MS - The Indians jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead and never looked back as they picked up a 5-3 win to sweep Lake Land on Saturday.

Drew Wheeler (Mooreville) singled and Ethan Gill (Pontotoc) was hit by a pitch before scoring on a one-out double by Tanner Poole (Amory) and extended its lead in the second when Hayden Williams (Amory) walked and Gable Butler (Tishomingo) scored on a single by Andy Bowman (Memphis), who later scored on a single by Gill.

Lake Land pushed across a pair of runs in the third and another in the fourth, but it wasn't enough as Russ Johnson (Hatley) came in to pick up the save in the seventh.

Ben Aldridge (Tupelo) got the win giving up 3 earned runs on six hits and one walk while striking out two in 3.1 innings of work.

Butler went 2-for-2 while Gill and Bowman each added a pair of hits to the Indians' 11-hit performance.
