The duo of Parker Humber (Tuscumbia, Ala.) and Carlos Welch (Baldwyn) weighed in at 16.9 pounds anchored by two six pounders to finish in 12th place in the 188 boat derby. The 12th place finish guaranteed Humber and Welch a spot in the 2019 Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) National Championship, making them the first team from ICC to qualify for the championship.
“We want this to be something fun for everyone involved,” said Gore. “Our vision for the show is for it to be a constantly evolving format. One that our fan base and viewers can also have a say in what they see from week to week. We’ll have some growing pains early on but that’s part of the excitement of taking the next steps in the evolution of the LetsGoICC brand.”
Itawamba Community College will honor its 2017 Alumnus of the Year and Athletic Hall of Fame inductees during Homecoming activities, Oct. 28, at the Fulton Campus. They include John and Beth Reed Cleveland of Kingwood, Tex., Alumnus of the Year; and Elaine Fagan Battigan of Dublin, Ireland and Duce Staley of Philadelphia, Penn., Athletic Hall of Fame.
